James Studio specializes in natural looking photography and videography. It is a quality that we aim for that makes you stand out as naturally beautiful and simply awesome. As a photographer I have a casual and personal style that puts my clients at ease. Paul is our expert videographer. He has been shooting video almost forever. He provides a gentle touch and an experienced eye. Together Paul and I are an experienced team that provide our clients with creative, tasteful images.
James Studio photography uses a style called portrait journalism. It is a careful combination of shooting whatever is happening (photo journalism) with helping to make things happen beautifully (portraiture). Using high-end equipment, creative shooting, casual poses and carefully chosen backgrounds you will be excited about your wedding photos and albums!
We print using a professional photo lab which uses Kodak Professional Endura Paper in Lustre and Metallic finishes (Metallic is a high gloss with a jumps-out-at-you look — it is very cool). Our pictures and packages are competitively priced for the Madison Wisconsin area.
We offer a large range of products and prices designed for a variety of budgets. Jim is patient provide the best portraits possible. In-studio portraits have the camera tethered to a large screen display so the images can be viewed immediately, we review the images, and discuss how to prefect the image. We keep shooting till we get it right. Then we look through the images together and mark the favorites. The images are touched up and reviewed by the client before they go to the printer. It is a thorough process for getting perfect results.
